Chateau Lumiere

We had a wonderful time with this 850 rental. It was perfect for our trip that included two other families. The setup was fantastic with the bunk room and Master Suites for the adults. Hope to come back soon! Thank you again.

It was spring break so a busy time. We brought a group of adults and girls. This property is amazing! Would highly recommend for multi-family trip with kids. bottom floor bunk room w 3 queen sized bunks opens to game room with its own kitchen - ideal for older kids to hang out while adults each have their own king suite rooms w/balconies. Quick walk to beach, responsive management staff. Enjoyed our stay!

Great location. 850 was very accommodating. The issues we had were corrected quickly and the house was great. The double doors on each floor could use some maintenance, but nothing that would curtail our time there. My three grandchildren loved the bunk room, but only slept on the bottom because they were worried about getting up in the night

9/10. House was gorgeous and had so much room. Only complete would be that the code to the private beach access did not work and it took hours for them to send the code. You can’t get in or out of the beach without it so it was frustrating not having it with such a large group. House was perfect for a bachelorette party as it fit many people comfortably!

Avalon community is a great family location! This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at the Chateau Lumiere house. Last year we had some issues but decided to try the house again. This year the house was way better. There was three families that stayed and we had plenty of room. The house felt more up kept, cleaner and taken care of. We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved having 5 bedrooms, each with their own bath. Kitchen was well furnished. Loved private pool and access to the private beach.

The house was perfect for our family ~ 5 bedrooms with each bedroom having its own bathroom provided much desired privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, a Keurig, a traditional coffee pot, griddles, and much more. Being just a block from the beach allowed everyone to go to and from the beach as desired. We didn't appreciate how enjoyable a private beach would be until we witnessed how crowded the public beaches were. We even had plenty of room to set up a couple of beach games. The owners also supplied beach chairs, beach toys, a cooler, and a wagon to transport everything we wanted to take to the beach! The game room (with the pool table) was enjoyed particularly by our teenage grandchildren. Our family also enjoyed the private pool (with LOTS of chairs sitting around the pool). Besides the 5 bedrooms (with beds for 20), there were also a couple of roll-away beds available. My only suggestion would be since the roll-away beds are in the home, some bedding for the roll-away beds be provided (or mention them in the description of home so renters can bring bedding sheets/blankets for those beds). Thank you to the owners for allowing us to enjoy their lovely home.

We loved our family vacation. House was great set up for us. There were a few maintenance items that were handled quickly. we will be back!

It was a wonderful place to stay due to cleanliness; location; pool; private baths for most bedrooms and amazing views. We loved it!

This house was the perfect size for my family. 3 couples, 3 children 11, 6, & 4, and the babysitter was able to have her own space, which she enjoyed. The pool was great. The property manager was easy to communicate with. The best part about this house is the central location. It's close to Destin and Sandestin. We had a great first time visit to this area and plan on coming back!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! It is a perfect location with the beach right across the street. On days we didn’t go out we were fine staying in the pool and hot tub. We ran into a few hiccups but Our contact Sean was on top of everything! Everyone in our party kept telling me how wonderful the house was!

Avalon is a great location in a very nice neighborhood near restaurants, shopping, and volleyball net. Beach is not too crowded or too empty.It's a family-friendly area. If you want to take a walk, walk east where the houses are bigger and the sidewalk is less crowded. The property manager is very very available and quick to respond to questions and requests.They fixed things (like pool heater) in a timely fashion. With big properties like this that are in high demand it's hard to keep up with every detail, so there were a few issues like the refrigerator door was broken (but usable) and a chair needed repaired, etc. etc. But overall the property was good quality and well-maintained.We had a wonderful family vacation! Thank you.

The home is beautiful with a lovely pool and is very close to the beach. The elevator is a plus and I only got stuck in it once. The unit was very clean and the beds are comfortable with a variety of softness/firmness levels. The comforters are very nice. The neighborhood is quiet and also clean. The A/C works very well. The pool table and the pool toys were enjoyed by the Grands.

Literally 2-3 min walk to a private beach!! Best in 4 years

We’ve stayed in a few homes in Destin, but this was by far the best. It was very clean when we arrived, everything worked correctly, the house is very spacious, the fridge was enormous, living room had a very large couch, 10 seated around the table, 5 around the counter. The bunk room was AMAZING!!! 3 sets of queen over queen bunks. 7 kids slept there so comfortably. If I needed anything, Ellen answered calls and emails immediately. From the living room you had a good view of the ocean which was just around the corner. Thank you so much for such a wonderful 2021 family vacation.

This property was very close to the beach, the house was large enough for our family of 13. It’s a beautiful home with plenty of space. Absolutely loved it.

This house accommodates large parties. Unlike some places where many have to couch sleep or pull out beds. Beds and more beds everywhere! Bedding is comfy and so are the pillows! Rarely do the pillows in rentals offer a good nights rest. It’s the little things that make a huge difference! 100% chance the elevator gets shut down after Day 1. I’ve read in others reviews this happening. Good news is we had already gone to the grocery store and utilized the elevator for that purpose. Which is ok. We all needed the up and down of three floors to work off our food and alcohol intake The hot tub was heated from 5-11pm which was perfect. The pool was blue and treated properly. Having two free standing ice makers made for our party of 20 to never run out. Other than the upstairs microwave not working, everything was great! (Except the oven door doesn’t latch properly. We had to push a chair against it to get it to heat up and cook at the proper temp) Regardless, we had the greatest time and would refer this place to anyone!

Pros: One block from the private beach Beds for 20 people. Not couch surfing or pullouts. Beds! Comfy beds and great linen/pillows Ample indoor & outdoor space Heated hot tub Pool Double ice makers Two fridge/freezers Ok ok you get it. It’s SPACIOUS! Cons: Nada If you’re looking to rent this home, DO!

We stayed for our 36th annual Golf trip! While traffic and construction had us stymied at times..it was overall a great week! We noticed that on Monday the trash cans were full and we appreciated whoever put them out Wednesday as they were picked up at 5:40 AM on Thursday morning, so we saw how Monday might have been missed!! The kitchen Microwave was not working,,or maybe couldn’t figure out how to turn it on, but the downstairs one worked, so we made do! Thank you for everything!

The house was amazing as expected. There were 14 of us with plenty of room so no one was crowded. The pool and hot tub was amazing as well. The very short walk to the beach was perfect as well. Me and my family will definitely be renting from 850 again.

We enjoyed our stay! We were a group of ten. Four adults, six children. The house was perfect for us. Absolutely beautiful! The beaches are everything we hoped for. Definitely going back next year. We recommend this house to everyone! The elevator was a plus for luggage and groceries. The views from each balcony was amazing! Only recommendation I have for the owners is for them to provide beach/pool towels and add a few more beach chairs.

Huge house with plenty of space for all of your friends and family. Proximity to the beach beach is very convenient. Loved the pool and hot tub for relaxing when not at the beach.

We stayed here for spring break with 3 other families and it is absolutely perfect! Fantastic location to the beach and several restaurants in walking distance. Great for multiple families with lots of space and so much for kids to do! Will definitely rent this home again when we come back to Destin!

Beautiful home with easy access to private beach. Three minutes to walk. Nicely furnished with great accommodations. Elevator a great amenity for access to multiple levels as well as moving luggage and groceries. Multiple outside seating areas a plus. Location close to restaurants and shopping.

This place is awesome for large groups of people. Place was very clean, beds were comfortable and has everything you would need. It is a super short walk to the beach and also includes plenty of beach supplies (chairs, umbrellas, carts, etc..). My only complaints would be the 10am checkout. Everything else was so wonderful that those things were as big of deal (then again we stayed here in February). I should note that even though checkout was 10am they still allowed us to check in early since nobody was there before us.

The house was beautiful. Well located. And very clean!! I loved all the extras in the garage for play time! Some issues: The stove and microwave didn’t work well. Very little toilet paper in the house. The toilet downstairs didn’t flush well so wasn’t able to use. I would stay again!

This property is exactly like the pictures online. The home was beautiful. Everything was super clean. The beds slept great! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook for our family. Lots of games and things to enjoy at the home and only a short distance from the ocean. There were plenty of places to shop and eat within walking distance and just a short drive to a ton more. This was a wonderful place to enjoy a family vacation. We had three families and we never felt cramped or crowded because the home is so spacious. Plenty of room to spread out and have some time to ourselves and also ample space to gather upstairs for a meal and time together.

Great location!! The private beach entrance is literally right across the street from the neighborhood. The host is exceptional with communication and local tips. The house was clean and worked wonderful for a group of 13 adults. I plan to rent this home in the future for a family vacation!

My family and I came from all different locations within the US and stayed at this house for a wedding. This home was wonderful. The kitchen and living areas are on the top floor so thank goodness for the elevator which worked perfectly. The house was extremely clean with a lot of beautiful upgrades. The area was wonderful. I’ve been to this area before and this is one of the best locations. It is still close to Destin and everything you need but def more upscale area. The kitchen was fully equipped. No complaints everything was wonderful including the company.

We absolutely loved Chateau Lumiere! It is a beautiful home and was perfect for our family honoring my son’s graduation! No one wanted to leave. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the 850 team!

What an amazing home that we stayed in. The high end finishes and the views made it seem impossible to want to get outside. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub area but there was an ant problem around the outdoor living space. Other than that issue our girls getaway weekend couldn’t have been better.
