This spacious two story home features 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, a spacious balcony overlooking the beach and gulf of mexico with an assortment of adirondack chairs. It also features a huge swimming pool where you can sit and feel the warm gulf breezes! This is just 1 home directly back from the beach so getting there couldn't be easier or safer for the family and beach access is directly off your street.

Beautiful rental. Furniture is massive and well coordinated. Pool and patio with tiki hut are impressive too. Renters should know that the stairs to upper floor are outside only access. Beach lovers should know that the beach area is small, public for the 20+ big rentals on the street. Owner and staff are very accommodating and helpful. Sean the maintenance guy is very quick to do what is best for renters. He even went above and beyond to bring back a blue angels memento for our grandson who loves them. Good folks!

Close to beach. Can see beach from house. Clean. Plenty of towels. Only wish that you could get from first floor to second floor from inside instead of going outside, up the stairs, and then in. We had a great time. Only problem was the clothes dryer. It takes about 2+ hours to dry anything and squeaks very loudly the whole time it’s running.

Not only was the property clean the entire place was great. Had all the things other placed don't have like Toile paper and soap. Plenty of towels. AC fantastic, view good. Beds great. ONLY issue was the time the dryer and washer took to get things done. Small price for such a nice place

Loved our stay at the Salty Skipper! So close to the beach and many other Destin attractions. The pool was huge and very nice and pool area was great too. Lots of pool chairs. It would be nice if there was another structure for a little more shade (like a lanai), but our pop up tent helped a lot. The cabana is very cute and also useful, but at the very back of the yard. The house itself was very nice and nearly perfect for us. It was both a pro and a con that upstairs didn’t connect to downstairs from the inside. Nice for privacy when needed, a con for more family interaction. Both units are nice, but the upstairs unit was a little nicer - more spacious and open.

Massive king sized beds, 2 sets of bunk beds perfect for little ones. Plenty of bathrooms, sooo much space for everyone. Huge backyard, pool was very nice and cleaned three times while we were there. 2 minute walk to the beach! You can not beat this place for the price! 10/10 going back here again next year and possibly every year there after.

We absolutely loved our time at The Salty Skipper! The house was clean, well stocked, and was perfect for our large group! Proximity to the beach and the private pool were both huge bonuses! In addition, the communication with Ellen was quick, pleasant and attentive! We will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed our recent stay. The pool, outdoor space and proximity to the beach was great. It was a couple minute walk to the beach. If we were any closer we would have been on the beach. The house fit our needs of 12.

We enjoyed our stay at the Salty Skipper. It had everything we needed and the pool area was great! We were very close to the beach and you can actually see the ocean from the front balcony. I would recommend a stay here! There were 6 of us and we all had everything we needed.

We really enjoyed the pool and tiki hut. Being a few steps from the beach made getting our toes in the sand quick and simple. We also enjoyed the area - very beautiful and not over crowded. Seeing F-22s and F-35s everyday was an added bonus for my son, who is training to be a pilot.

This was a great setup for our trip. Our kids enjoyed the tiki hut when they needed a break from the sun. You can walk to the beach barefoot in about 2 minutes. We will most likely return!

We loved having the separate spaces for the group, the pool was amazing and spent a lot of time outside. We had a great time and the amenities were exactly what we need for our group. It was very much worth it and will definitely be back.

Cristi F. The house was really clean and everything was new and decorated. The beach was very close. There is a small view of the water from the balcony which was nice. We watched a nice sunset here. The backyard is amazing to Bbq and swim. My only suggested improvements are to bring duvet comforter covers (the house only has thin blankets). The other thing is that the light is very bright in the morning bc the shades don't block the sun. I think the rooms need some curtains. Other than that, the home is great! The beach was a bit crowded and you can walk down to one opening over to rent chairs which I suggest.

The layout of the house was a bit different as the stairs to go from one floor to the next are located outside of the house. Every time you wanted to enter the next floor you had to enter the house code in...which could be difficult with full hands and kids. Not ideal but not that bad. Overall we had a great stay with plenty of space for all!

Great place for three generation family vacation 5/5 Stayed Dec 2017 Katharine W.Springfield, VA This is a two story house with two separate, complete living quarters. Each floor has its own livingroom and kitchen. Five total bedrooms and four bathrooms. Attractive up to date decor. Very comfortable beds. Be aware that to access the second floor, you go outside and go up an outdoor staircase. We had the grandparents on the first floor (very accessible) and the children and grandchildren on the second floor. There is a big private pool (can be heated for an extra $50 a day) and cabana in the back yard. We had a great time!
The house was very clean and had all the dishes and space we needed for 10 adults and a preschooler. The grill was cleaned for us, the pool was maintained for us, and the sitting area around the pool was great. We have no complaints about our week. The beach is across the street and umbrellas, beach chairs, and a wagon were all available for our use. It was a great trip.
